Scuba Discovery Experience
The Scuba Discovery Experience gives you a glimpse of what you will experience in the underwater world.
- It takes just a half-day — or a full day if you want to make the optional open-water dive.
- If you decide is for you, you can enroll in our Open Water Diver course and we will credit the entire cost of your Discovery Experience toward it.
You can sign up in person, over the phone or online by clicking the button below. If you sign up online, you will still need to call to schedule your experience.
This program generally takes just a half day — or a full day if you want to make the optional open-water dive. With sufficient notice, we can usually offer this course when it’s most convenient for you.
We do have three courses already scheduled. These take place:
- Saturday, February 15, 2025
- Saturday, March 8, 2025
- Saturday, April 19, 2025
- Be at least 10 years old.
- Be comfortable and relaxed in water too deep to stand.
- Be able to answer No to all the questions on the medical questionnaire or obtain a physician’s approval for diving.
Pricing is as follows:

- $209.99/person (with optional beach dive)

- You’ll start by completing a short but enjoyable Certification processing when earned course. You can do this when and where it’s convenient.
- Then you will meet us at the store to review what you have learned and to get fitted for equipment.
- Next we will head for the pool where you will learn some fundamental scuba skills. It is here where you will experience the freedom that comes from being weightless underwater.
- Following this, you will have the option to make a dive from a local beach with one of our highly experienced instructors.
If you decide scuba is for you, you can enroll in one of our beginning scuba courses and earn your Open Water Diver certification. We will credit the entire cost of your Discovery Experience toward this.

- Assembly and operation
- Buoyancy
- Equalization techniques
- Hand signals
Confined Water
- Breathing underwater
- Regulator clearning
- Regulator recovery
- Mask clearning
- Equalization techniques
Open Water
- One tank tour in open water (must not exceed 12 m/40 ft)
Most importantly, we don’t practice these skills until you finally get them right. We have you repeat them until you can’t do them wrong.
