Michael

Since first becoming certified in 1978, Michael has logged over 2,000 dives in locations throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas and across Florida. Unusual for someone from the USA, he has also been diving in Italy.

Michael’s favorite dive has been the massive, crystal-clear tank at Disney World. Here you can interact with sharks, rays and turtles. Overall, though, Michael says his favorite activity is night diving.

Since becoming an instructor in 2015, Michael has taught or assisted with dozens of classes involving thousands of students. He holds Instructor and Instructor Trainer ratings from NASE, PADI, SSI and SDI. He is authorized to teach:

  • Snorkeling

Michael has worked for Aquatic Ventures for more than four years. He received his Master Instructor, and Instructor Trainer ratings while working at Aquatic Ventures. Michael’s forte is in Divemaster development, Instructor Development Course, and Instructor Evaluations. Michael says:

“We have an amazing, dedicated crew, all with a singular goal: The safety of the students. Our crew seeks to ensure that students have fun learning and enjoy their time learning their newly acquired skills. Our staff wants to make sure the students get the right gear at the right price for the type of diving the students enjoy.

“Our professional staff is well-trained to ensure a proper fit for all gear and are easily able to train the students in the proper usage of that gear. Moreover, our staff are divers. This means we love to dive not just teach, so anytime we have an opportunity to hop in the water, we do, and not just with students. Find me a big enough puddle and I’ll dive it!”

When asked what he enjoys in addition to diving, Michael tells us:

“I am an avid adventurist. I skydive, scuba dive, white water raft, car race, bungy cord jump, canoe, kayak, hot air balloon and fly airplanes for fun. If it involves adrenaline, I’ve done it or want to try it. I believe life is for living, meaning I don’t put things off: If I find something interesting, I want to try it. I am also an avid cruiser and do two to three cruises a year, usually to places where diving is fun and unique
