Extended Range

Unfortunately, in many parts of the world, helium is nowhere near as available as it is in the USA. Or, if it is available, its cost may be so prohibitive as to make its use impractical.
Still, if you have a pressing need to dive as deep as 180 feet without the benefit of helium, you need special training to help deal with the crippling effects of narcosis. This is the need the Extended Range course addresses.
The course generally takes at least two days and four dives. You can sign up in person, over the phone or online by clicking the button below. If you sign up online, you will still need to call to schedule your class.

Once divers pass 130 feet, adding helium to the gas mixture helps mitigate the effects of narcosis. Past 150 feet, many consider the use of helium essential.

Bear in mind, there is nothing you can do to minimize the effects of narcosis outside of adding helium to the mix. What you can do, however, is take steps to help manage the impairment. Still, the risks are considerable and not worth taking if you have access to helium.
Consider Extended Range training only as a last resort.
