First Aid/CPR/AED

This course combines first aid, CPR and AED use for infants, children and adults. These are skill that not only every diver should have, but every person should possess. This course takes just a half day. Save $20 by taking it in combination with the Oxygen Provider course.
You can sign up in person, over the phone or online by clicking the button below. If you sign up online, you will still need to call to schedule your class.
This program generally takes just a half day. With sufficient notice, we can usually offer this course when it’s most convenient for you.
We do have two courses already scheduled. These take place:

- Be at least 10 years old.

This course combines cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults. These are skill that not only every diver should have, but every person should possess.
Most divers take this course in combination with the Oxygen Provider course.

- When to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Emergency medical services activation
- Compressions, airway, breathing (CAB)
- Compression protocol
- Ventilation protocol
Coking
- Level of airway obstruction
- Treatment methods
- When to use Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Rules and regulations regarding AEDs
- Post trama considerations for lay rescuers
Skill Performance
- Scene entry and assessment
- Perform single person CPR on a manikin (infant and adult)
- Deploy AED and follow prompts for use
- (Inform certification is valid for two years)
Most importantly, we don’t practice these skills until you finally get them right. We have you repeat them until you can’t do them wrong.
