Fort Lauderdale Wreck/Reef Dive • Saturday, May 16, 2026

Wrecks are among the most popular of all dive sites. They can range from artificial reefs, such as we have along the Florida coast, to wrecks that sunk solely due to a manmade or natural disaster. The wreck we visit will depend on conditions. Following the wreck dive, we will explore a shallow reef.

The diving

Fort Lauderdale’s wrecks are part of one of the country’s most extensive artificial reef programs. Depths typically range from 70 to 100 feet. Wrecks can be very broken up or largely intact. The longer a wreck has been down, the more coral and aquatic life it attracts.
