Double North and Horseshoe Reef are shallow structures at the north end of Key Largo. Their location is close to North Dry Rocks and Christ of the Abyss.

The Sitea
Due to their shallow depths and inshore location, Double North and Horseshoe Reef can usually provide good protection from rough seas and strong currents. They are a great choice for divers with limited experience and those seeking longer bottom times.
The Diving
Double North is home to large coral mounds with abundant sponges and sea fans. There are two notable swim-throughs.
At Horseshoe Reef, you will find one of the largest collections of Elkhorn coral and three cavernous swim-throughs. Silverside minnows reside here from May through October and make a tasty meal for Goliath Groupers.
