French Reef/Benwood Wreck • Saturday, September 7
Sunk in 1942, the 300+ foot long Benwood offers a fascinating look back in time. It’s shallow (25-45 foot) depths make it a great opportunity for divers of any experience level.

The Diving
Built in 1910, the Benwood plied her trade for the next three decades until a collision sent her to the bottom in 1942. To avoid her becoming a hazard to navigation, the Coast Guard blew her open, making it easy to see what’s on the inside. This is a great first wreck dive for new divers.
In addition to the Benwood, we will also dive famous French Reef.
