Key Largo: USCGC Duane • Sunday, August 1
Launched in 1937, the 327-foot USCGC Duane is one of the two largest wrecks in Key Largo. It offers a great dive for Advanced divers or those in training to become one.
The Site
The Diving
The Duane served in both World War II and Vietnam, along with all the years in between. In 1987, she became an artificial reef, sitting upright in 125 feet of water.
The wreck begins in 60 feet of water, with most diving taking place around 105 feet. The wreck has a thick growth of coral and is home to a wide assortment of aquatic life.

The trip date is Sunday, August 1. The boat leaves the dock at 1:00 pm and returns at 5:00 pm. This means you can drive down in the morning and return the same evening. Drive time from the shop is approximately one hour and 40 minutes.
