Turtle Ledge Reef Dive • Saturday, October 18, 2025
Part of the world’s third-largest barrier reef, Turtle Ledge is home to a higher-than-average number of loggerheads. And while there is no guarantee that you will necessarily see a turtle when diving here, encountering one or more is not unusual.

The site
The diving
Turtle Ledge has the same rich assortment of soft and hard corals we associate with all Broward County diving. Reef fish are abundant, and it’s not unusual to find nurse sharks napping under ledges. The high point is when you come across one or more of the large loggerheads known to frequent this site. They may be out cruising along or taking a nap in the reef.
